Activities
Twillingate
and its surrounding communities offer numerous activities that will
meet any visitor's needs — whether you are an outdoor
enthusiast, nature photographer,
possess strong cultural interests,
or wish to simply experience Newfoundland outport living for a few
days. **Guided hikes and walking tours can be arranged.**
The
peak Newfoundland tourism season typically occurs between June and
September, although visiting the province during April, May and
October are also recommended. The weather
can fluctuate daily, so please come prepared with clothing appropriate
to meet your specific vacation interests. The temperature and weather
can dramatically change within a single day depending upon the cloud
cover, wind speed and direction, and possibility of fog. Appropriate
clothing would certainly include a sweater and rainwear among other
items, again, depending on the specific activities planned. Please
do not be discouraged with a few hours/days of less than optimal
weather, there are numerous indoor activities that can entertain
you during this time; and some of the most beautiful photo ops are
present during cloud and fog conditions!
