She played quite a bit. Eliminated herself several times and her new parents were more than ready to go to bed...so everyone went...except Puppy wasn't too keen on sleeping. We again found out she had a bark, but found out more about the several different types of whines and whimpers. Amber found out while taking her out to pee in the middle of the night that she doesn't really understand the stairs. At the top of the stairs is where most of her pee went. She's doing quite well. She has made several mistakes now - unbelievably quick sneaky crapper.

We haven't decided on a name yet. We are trying out several. She seems to respond to 'Pepper' which was a name that Chris had brought up as a spotted dog that Pop Keets had. We had a list of 'real names' not just dog type names, but she doesn't seem to respond to any of them. So, Fiona may turn into Pepper...a name that would also be fitting as she could be described as 'Spicy', 'Energerizing', 'Painful' when she bites on with her sharp puppy teeth or daggerlike puppy talons, etc.

We took her for a long walk thru some of the streets, out to Water Street, all along the beach and back thru some of the streets. She is pretty exhausted and with both the exercise and our sleep deprivation...we are too!! It turned out to be a sunny day and somewhat warm without the wind (windy on the beach). She loves rocks - picking up rocks and carrying them. We were able to get her to walk with a stick a little, but she is pretty fixated on rocks. While we were talking about training her to carry a frisbee like a very large black lab in town...we happened upon that very lab. He didn't want to share and Pepper didn't really care as she was in the snow then. Once she gets used to all the smells as she is quite the sniffer, she should walk with a leash pretty well.

We are keeping our fingers crossed with Pepper and Kitty. Kitty is being quite a crank-bag. She isn't being left out, though, as she spent quite sometime out in the sun today like everyone else. Hard to believe it was still snowing last night and we could be out in fleeces today. Hopefully that is it for the snow this year.
